Weird Thought

Kaci knows that I hate it when strangers talk to me. It should have been on my list of 16 things. It is weird now that I am more obviously pregnant, strangers are going to have a reason to talk to me. Also weird that when strangers see me, they are going to know a huge part of my life just by looking at me. That kind of makes me uncomfortable.

Bedding

We bought a crib last night. We got the one consumer reports says is the safest. We bought it in Ebony because there was free shipping on that finish. I guess it isn't that popular. =) Regardless, that is what we did.
The next decision is bedding. Here are two front runners, which do you like better? Our crib is the color in the second picture.

1) Pop Monkey

#2 Vintage Mickey

16 Random Things (Kaci's request)

1. I love to sleep in.
2. I can be seriously lazy sometimes. John is incredibly patient with my laziness.
3. Planning vacations is one of my favorite things to do.
4. Credit card points make me happy.
5. So happy that when I saw that day cares take credit cards, I had to immediately call John and tell him.
6. I am a baby about being cold.
7. I don't like socks.
8. I am not patient.
9. I always reset my alarm in the mornings to a later time.
10. I drink a lot of water.
11. I hate lines. A lot. I wish there was a fast pass for every line, not just those at Disney.
12. I once broke out of a bathroom with quart of paint. That is my best story.
13. If you cook with jalapeno's, wear gloves. One of my best stories.
14. Whole Foods finally opening in Jacksonville makes me happy.
15. I'm grumpy in the morning.
16. The baby is probably going to ruin sleeping in for me, but maybe I'll develop some patience. =)

Fainting

This weekend John and I went down to Orlando to see John's sister and brother in law and their kids. On Saturday we went to Hollywood Studios. The first ride we were going to go on was Toy Story. We were waiting in line, and after about 10 minutes I started feeling like I was going to faint. I announced that I was going to faint. Jenny gave me some juice. I drank some. I still was going to faint. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground and confused. The first thing I asked when I came too was "did a cast member see me?" The answer was yes. They called the Disney paramedic people, and they took my blood pressure, gave me some water and told me to use a wheelchair for a while. If Kelsey taught me anything though, I knew we should get some fast passes for fainting. And we did! So Disney took care of me. I felt fine the rest of the day. Everyone just assumed I was hungry/thirsty and that was the reason I fainted. But an hour and half before, I had a bottle of orange juice, muffin and banana. So it is still a mystery why my blood pressure suddenly dropped.

The next morning, I was getting dressed and John was like "are you going to wear those jeans again?" And I was planning on it. I guess I spilt the cranberry juice all over my pants on the way down. I tried to wear the other pair of jean I brought, but even with them completely unzipped, I had a major muffin top. So I wore the cranberry jeans again.

I used the wheelchair for like an hour after I fainted, and I am happy to report that people didn't stare at me. =)

The Name Tourney Bracket

Hopefully this is big enough to see. We did a tournament of 64 names to determine the front runners. Right now Graham is the leader.

19 weeks pic

Here is my 19 week picture. I'm almost halfway! It is definitely getting bigger. Someone asked me if I was pregnant the other day, I thought that was pretty bold.

Kelsey is gone :(

John and I took Kelsey to the airport this morning. I didn't realize how attached I've become at having her around until she was leaving. Mom told Kelsey she was worried about me, and I guess she wasn't just being crazy ;). I am pretty sad today. Kelsey is thinking about coming back to Disney after graduation, which would be great for John and I. I would love to have her living nearby. But I start think about how hard it is to live away from the rest of our family, and I don't want her to have to deal with that. I am sure she is really happy to be back home, and she should be. =) We are going to miss having her in Florida.

I'm going home in a couple weeks, so I'll get to see her (and everyone else) then. I'm looking forward to that.

Motherhood Maternity

Kelsey and I went to Motherhood Maternity today to buy some maternity clothes. They have this pillow you can put under your shirt so you can see what the clothes look like when you are bigger. Here is a pic.

pics from the sonogram

Here he is.

You can see the penis in this one. I can imagine the conversation in 16 years, "mom you put a picture of my penis online?"

This one is a little scary looking.
Kelsey and I agree if the technician wasn't there, we would have never found the penis.

The Gender!

It is a boy!

03 January 2009

Kelsey is pretty much amazing

1. She is taking down the wallpaper in the nursery as I type.
2. She is better at it then John.
3. She has an animator friend at Disney that she thinks will be excited to come and paint Disney characters on the walls of the nursery!! Look at what he did for Kelsey, it is awesome.
