Maxwell at 3 Years 2 Months

He is playing with Frances more and more. He taught her how to play the baby piano the other day.

Maxwell loves to play outside.

He is afraid of ants. For real.

Totally potty trained (I think we had an accident free month).

When I say totally potty trained I mean except for sleeping.

He loves to note if things match. "WE MATCH!"

Maxwell's favorite color is still green.

Maxwell's favorite books are cruise ship book (the photobook I made from our cruise in June), Frog and Toad, and Little Bear. 

He likes asking us to spell random words.

Maxwell can spell Maxwell, Mom, and Dad.

He'll call Frances by her full name (mimicking John).

The other night as I was giving Frances a bath (Maxwell likes to help), I asked him to go ask John to come into the bathroom. Maxwell proceeded to yell "JOHN" multiple times. I wonder where he got that from?

His favorite song is ABCs.

If we are at a bookstore, he'll exclaim if a book is "BIG BOY SCHOOL book", "HOME book" or "BABY SCHOOL book".

Maxwell "lies". Only in the most obvious way... like in response to who did you play with at school today, he'll say, "BOO BOO."

His favorite activity is to jump. Not well though. At school they had tape marking how far each kid jumped. Guess who went the shortest distance? Yep. Maxwell.

Maxwell doesn't share his toys with Frances. She only gets to play with the baby toys. Of course, Maxwell also gets to play with the baby toys when he feels like it, and he will happily snatch it from Frances when the mood strikes. 

He has gotten much better with block building. The other day I asked John if he made a train, and I was shocked to find out that Maxwell made it all by himself.

Everyday when Maxwell arrives at school he exclaims, "I'M BACK!" The check-in woman always says, "I'm glad you are back." 

He likes to skype, but does not like talking on the phone.
